Sažetak
In order to recognize the importance of regional or “ site specific” approach in application of sustainable development concept, this paper deals with several aspects of sustainable development performance In Primorsko-Goranska County. Beside the general data on Primorsko-Goranska County, the paper describes the legal and institutional framework for sustainable development implementation, both at state and county level of legislation. In addition, two brief case studies covering the application of sustainable development in physical planning as a legislative activity and in polices adopted by the several industrial business entities are given with purpose to illustrate the rate of current sustainable development performance.
