Sažetak
Increasingly stricter requirements for protection of the environment impose the need to eliminate “ dirty” and less efficient technology which should be replaced by a cleaner and more effective one. Introducing of gas into Primorsko-Goranska region is one way to achieve this aim. The actual state of energetics (power-supply system) of this district and prospects for gas introduction into the region have presented together with a discussion on the economic and environmental effects of gas introduction. Economic effects are considered with respect to efficiency of existing technologies, introducing of new technologies, difference between prices and economic efficiency of the complete gas-introduction system, and reduction of damages caused to the environment.
