Sažetak
This paper describes a system for guidance of the blind and visually impaired people in unfamiliar indoor and outdoor areas without the help of a human guide. The paper also describes the technical and functional architecture of the orientation and guidance system using modern technology. The described system comprises a digital sensor system for determining the location using the dead reckoning technique, infrared tags and a handheld device that gives voice instructions.
