Sažetak
In this paper we examine how to find ways of alleviating and reducing economic, educational and cultural opposites, and how to coordinate them with the needs of development of future generations ; in other words, how to harmonise the understanding of the world as a global whole with the challenges which face mankind in the 21st century. In examining the aforementioned the emphasis is on a fuller consideration and study of problems in the time in which we live, and this implies that such problems cannot be understood separately because they are interdependent and connected. Life in a contemporary society includes the existence of fundamental human values. For example, behavior focused toward the well-being of another person represents a value which is the foundation of human relations and the quality of a man's life. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to point out the significance of education and learning which includes tolerance, cooperation, appreciation of others, respecting differences, a positive attitude toward oneself and others and toward the material and the spiritual world.
