Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to examine polylexical structures in historical texts of Austrian Criminal Procedure Code (1873) and its Croatian version as corpora of the research, with special reference to collocations as a specific type of phraseology. As the language of law is known for its neutrality, objectivity, abstractness and exactness, authors of this paper consider metaphor as an extraordinary linguistic feature of the language of law. For that reason, the main part of the paper is dedicated to metaphoric collocations used in the Austrian and the Croatian Criminal Procedure Code of the 19th century.
