Sažetak
The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 could be closely considered as the beginning of transition in many countries. During this period, lasting for about ten years, unavoidable fluctuations and stoppages caused degradation of electricity production and economic decline as well. This can be mathematically evaluated by means of equation for electricity production, valid before the fall of the Berlin Wall. However, electricity decrease has not been the same in all the countries. Therefore, in order to investigate and evaluate the transition process in the light of electricity production, eight transition states, including Croatia, are analyzed and mutually compared.
