Sažetak
The paper discusses the ways the problems of racism and social inequality are represented in the Harry Potter series of novels by J. K. Rowling. The author studiously avoids to address any issues of ethnicity and cultural or religious diversity, but instead uses a variety of magical creatures to show the racist attitudes of Harry Potter's opponents, as well as problems of homocentric organization of the wizard world. Negative critiques of a number of literary theorists, as well as opinions of those that support Rowling are extensively considered and examples that either support or contest them are given.
