Sažetak
Political and economic transitions may influence the patterns of use of communication media and the individual's perceptions of the advantages and disadvantages of a specific medium. In this study the Web is compared with other mass media in relation to the accessibility and usefulness of different classes of information (political, economic, scientific, technical, etc.). Also, various aspects of e-mail based communication and discussion groups on the Web are compared with the use of other interpersonal and group communication channels. The results are discussed in the light of media credibility, relevance, accessibility in social transition, and their importance for the advancement of political discourse. Moreover, the Web is also analysed in relation to the factors of competence in person-to-person interaction and dialogue.
