Sažetak
This chapter contains papers based on lectures presented at the 7th Symposium on Mathematical Chemistry within ICCMSE 2009, held in Rhodes, Greece (29 September - 04 October, 2009) http://www.iccmse.org/. The authors of the papers are internationally known scientists in mathematical chemistry, computational chemistry, cheminformatics and mathematics. We have also included a preface for the previous symposium, the 6th Symposium on Mathematical Chemistry within ICCMSE 2008, held in Hersonissos, Crete (September 25-30, 2008), as it was missed out by an oversight in the published proceedings for the conference. In 2008 we dedicated our symposium to a successful and innovative theoretical chemist, Professor Douglas J. Klein, to mark his 65th birthday and to acknowledge his distinguished contributions to mathematical chemistry.
