In treatment of welded joint the advantages of time of flight diffraction (TOFD) and integrity assessment according to failure assessment diagram (FAD) are shown. In this paper some practical results are shown, concerning detection, evaluation and sizing of defects in welds by TOFD technique, as well as evaluation of material integrity according to FAD
