During the exploitation period pipelines are often in contacts with aggressive media that causes corrosion. Rigid and gas products of chemical reactions among steel and aggressive media which diffused in metal decreased cohesive force in crystal net and influenced on pipeline mechanical features and decreased exploitation period, as well. Such weakened material structure is submissive of accelerated corrosion process that multiple decreasing of pipeline exploitation period. To determine effects of aggressive media on steel structure and its consistency corrosion speed and flow have been researched. Corrosion consistency and observed changes on material have been tested by visual optical method, measuring of steel wall thickness, measuring of material hardness and analysis of material structure changes by microscope. The paper can served for analysis of situation, decision making procedures and appliance of finding measures.
