Sažetak
In the process of restructuring the economy in countries in transition it comes usually to a development of financial markets and institutions as a parts of the whole financial system in a country. There is an evolution of primary and secondary financial markets, as well as the introduction of new financial instruments like bonds, stocks and other securities. In the case of Slovenia it is evident that the development of the secondary financial market, i.e. the Ljubljana Stock Exchange together with the adoption of the legal framework has helped to establish a well functioning securities market with the necessary transparency and liquidity of the market.
