Sažetak
The syllabus is based on topic areas and professional skills relevant to students. It also incorporates a related comprehensive grammar and vocabulary syllabus and systematic work on speaking, listening, reading and writing. Each unit deals with an area of the hotel and tourism industry and related professional skills such as describing and presenting destinations, analysing elements of destination brand image, choosing appropriate type of accommodation for particular types of guests, taking a booking by telephone, replying to an e-mail request for booking, dealing with complaints, replying to letters of complaint. All four skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking - are practiced and developed in each unit of the course book. However, there was a need to expand the topics covered in the book with some additional materials which are available in the workbook.
