Sažetak
A subset of PV patients harbor mutations in a discrete region of exon 12 in the JAK2 gene. As these mutations are fairly rare, only a few studies have attempted to describe how they reflect disease development and their utility as a prognostic marker. We established a European collaboration termed JAK2 Exon 12 Mutated Allele Burden Study (JETMABS) adressing these questions by investigating the mutated allele burden of patients carrying JAK2 exon 12 mutations.
