Sažetak
Production industry is concerned with processing materials and the operations involved in this processing are governed by the laws of science. Two consequences follow from this. Firstly, energy is needed to effect the desired transformations and secondly, waste is inevitably produced. As a result, the best that can be achieved is minimizing the use of energy and reducing waste production. The presented paper shows that integrated waste management integrates waste streams, collection and treatment methods, environmental benefit, economic optimization and societal acceptability into a practical system for any region.
