Sažetak
The article provides an overview of the Croatian insurance market just before Croatian accession to the EU. First, the regulatory framework and supervision is described, then general contract law and finally consumer protection network. Within each part the author uses the mirror structure by describing the main sources of law, basic principles and finally some statistical and practical examples. The paper includes the evaluation of the current status.
