Sažetak
The present chapter begins with a brief overview of the foundations and the methods used in behaviour and molecular genetics. That is followed by an overview of results from behaviour genetic studies of aggression, including information about heritability of aggression, genetic overlap between different types of aggression, sex differences in heritability, stability and change in aggression, contextual factors associated with individual differences in aggression, and an overview of results from molecular genetic studies of aggression. Then it gives an overview of results from behaviour and molecular genetic studies of risk factors for developing cardiovascular disease, including blood pressure, obesity, cholesterol, smoking and physical activity, as well as their covariation. Finally, the association between aggression and cardiovascular disease is addressed and recommendations for future research are given.
