Sažetak
After completing a required four-semester course in technical English, students of mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb, may sign up for an optional course in business English. As opposed to the Technical English course which focuses on reading and writing, the Business English course stresses the development of the skills of listening and speaking. The paper presents the Business English course for students of mechanical engineering in terms of its content, goals and structure including examples of communicative activities developed to promote interaction and communication in class.
