Sažetak
Antineoplastic drugs (AD) used in chemotherapy are mitotic inhibitors or inducers of DNA damage. In the case of medical personnel exposed to mixture of AD, it is quite difficult to establish the relation between results obtained through toxogenetic assays due to problems with accurate assessment of the exact exposure levels in the working environment. In order to distinguish the preffered aneugenic from clastogenic effects of AD in this study we applied chromosome aberrarion assay (CA), sister chromatid exchanges (SCE), micronucleus assay (MN) and mitotic activity (MA). The study of population included 15 nurses who reconstitute and administrate AD. The CA, MN and SCE frequencies were increased and disturbances in MA were detected. The results stress the need to use more than one method during biomonitoring of the population exposed to chemical substances with combined effect on the cell and DNA.
