Sažetak
The presentation introduce our world as a project world, showing main arguments and statistic which prove the statement. The main development in the area of project management are analyzed, showing the key achievements in moving forward. The central part of the presentation deals with three areas: practice, education and research in project management. The main problems, achievements and trends within each area are described in the light of need for improvement of project performance. The focus is on achieving better efficiency and effectiveness, by doing right things in right way. Model of effective learning in project management is shown, so as the critical skills industry and employers expect that will be demonstrated by new employees. The early research results presented indicate that competence development is critical for further improvements and project success delivery.
