Sažetak
During a 15-year period, allergic patients with the following diagnoses: allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, pollenosis, bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis, urticaria with oedema Quinckae recidivans received allergen immunotherapy (hyposensitisation) at the Department of Dermatology, Allergy Unit, in Zagreb. We used allergen mixtures of tree and grass pollen, weeds; and single allergens (house dust and house dust mite). Classic immunotherapy (subcutaneous) and topical immunotherapy (sublingual-spit) is carried out for a few seasons. Classically this is applied twice weekly with increasing doses from I to IV concentration of allergic vaccines, followed by maintance dose; sublingual-spit is applied daily; taking care of contraindications as recommended by the WHO. Preliminary examinations include: PRICK, serologic analysis-RIST, RAST and CAST ELISA for specific allergens. The general and immune state of the patient is assessed before the introduction of immunotherapy and upon the cure completion (clinical and laboratory findings). Therapies with grass pollen and weeds (seasonal), house dust mite and house dust (throughout the year) are most common therapies. The therapy takes 3-5 years. Results are presented by figures and histograms.
