The report is intended to describe the conditioning operation of Radium-226 paint pigment carried out in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 14-18 September 1998, according to the IAEA Purchase Order No. INT4131-019H. The report covers the operation itself, the preparation of operational area, fabrication of stainless steel containers, description of previous temporary storage, description of radium inventory, description of the decontamination of previous temporary storage and secondary waste gathered during decontamination, radiation protection measures and the applied quality assurance programme.
