Sažetak
Nuclear microscopy (NM) is a novel analytical technique that simultaneously uses several ion beam techniques, all with micron or even submicron resolution. It has a unique ability to simultaneously use several complementary nuclear analytical techniques like PIXE, RBS, STIM, PIGE, etc. When combined, they can provide highly quantitative analytical data for almost all elements of the Peroiodic Table, while retaining high spatial resolution. For analysis of individual aerosol particles, minimum detection limits of approximately 10ppm can routinely be obtained. In terms of absolute detectable mass, impressive detection of 10(-17)g can be achieved by the micro-PIXE.
