Sažetak
The paper is about mirila - a death ritual from the Dalmatian hinterland. Based on the research of the spatial and historical context of the phenomenon author contemplated about the possible origin and meaning of this ritual. He corelate its distribution with population migrations in the area along with other burial customs of the linguisticaly similar yet geographically distant peoples.
