Sažetak
Security of customer electricity supply has been one of the most present topics in professionals and experts from the very beginning of organized power system. A number of methods as well as mathematical models, both simulation and optimization ones, have been developed. There are number of criteria for quantifying the level of security of customer supply. One of the most used, which resulted from mathematical interpretation of expected duration for all outages, is called LOLP (Loss of Load Probability). This criterion shows the portion of a time period during which the power system will not be able to meet peak load due to the insufficient generation capacity is available. In this paper, an optimization model for calculation of LOLP is described and the analysis was carried out by the WASP computer model (Wien Automatic System Planning Package) i.e. WASP-IV for carrying out power generation expansion planning.
