Sažetak
This paper analyzes and explains the Croatian immigrant literature in Canada and provides a framework for understanding social and cultural circumstances that have influenced the creation of Croatian literary mode of expression in Canada. The article points out three major waves of immigration during the twentieth century as well as different lifestyles that Croatian immigrants in Canada had during the twentieth century. The third wave of immigration is mostly dealt with as it is the most prolific and most important for providing an insight into the lives of Croatian immigrants in Canada.
