Sažetak
This M.A. thesis deals with language contact between English and German. It is investigated on the example of terms from German economic terminology. The corpus for the analysis is gathered from the articles of the German newspapers. The selected newspapers are Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. This thesis investigates the English-German language contact on the orthographical level according to Rudolf Filipović and his theoretical precepts. The corpus is divided into three main parts: clear anglicisms, verbal anglicisms, and hybrid formations. Clear anglicisms are further divided into four groups: simple words, compounds, semi-compounds and noun phrases. Hybrid formations are further divided in three groups: compounds, semi-compounds and compounds with the translated element.
