Sažetak
This paper deals with English phrasal verbs taken from classical guitar magazines and classified according to Palmer`s classification and style discrepancies of phrasal verbs. It points out the growing number of phrasal verbs in spoken English and provides tables of classification. It explains the meaning of terms `phraseology`, `phraseological unit`, `phrasal verb` and `phrasal noun` and provides two more classifications besides Palmer`s: Fiedler`s and Makkai`s classification. It explains how we differentiate between prepositional and adverbial nature of the particles and shows which particles are used most often in phrasal verb combinations. Additionally, it shows the comparison of two guitar magazines in terms of their writing style and phrasal verb usage.
