Sažetak
Motor industry and its component suppliers are one of main users of special machines of large and average batches. Their manufacturers are exposed to the great pressure by motor industry, regarding efficiency, flexibility and quality improvement keeping low price of production systems at the same time. Introduction of high speed machining and the latest machine conception development significantly decrease both main and auxiliary machining times. Modern work cells are in certain segments of average and large production fit for competing with classical linear and circular machining systems. The article deals with the basic features of the machining flexible cells designed up-to-date, and it presents a review of achievement and development directions concerning special machine production in SAS-Zadar d.d.
