Sažetak
:Finding the equilibrium state of prestressed cable nets requires selection of method for solving system of nonlinear equilibrium equations. As long as we use the classical Newton-Raphson method, the success of that method will greatly depend on the choice of an initial position of nodes. It is known, even from experience that is very difficult to quess a good starting position. The spatial shape, formed by these positions is referred to as basin of attraction for Newton-Raphson method. Performed numerical investigation has shown that this shapes form of a fractal.
