Sažetak
Surfactants are widely used, because of its specific properties, mainly in detergents industry, in personal care products, in the manufacture of textiles, paints, polymers and pesticides, metallurgy, pharmacy, medicine, mining and paper industries. After use, excess of surfactants and their degradation products, can be released to the environment where they can very often have a harmfull impact. It is therefore important to develop methods for their determination. Commercial mixture of detergents containing numbers of different homologues, oligomers and isomers of anionic, cationic, non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants, so their identification and quantification is very complex and demanding task. For the purpose of analysis should be used many techniques, such as titrations, spectroscopy methods, and various chromatographic methods. HPLC is certainly the preferred and most widely used method. In this paper, we have developed a rapid HPLC method for the determination of sodium dodecyl benzenesulfonate (NaDBS) in the commercial zeolite detergent.
