Sažetak
The main aim of this paper was to determine the relationship between the source of information about a tourism destination and the choice of the companions on a holiday. Different variables were used concerning sources of information about tourism destinations as well as concerning the choice of companions on the holiday. Data was collected from July to September 2010 as a part of a research on tourists' attitudes related to different aspects of tourism destination offerings. A sample of tourists staying in seven seaside tourist resorts in the County of Istria was collected using a self-complete questionnaire. During that period, 20 accomodation facilities were visited and a total of 2, 233 usable questionnaires were collected. The relationship between the source of information about a tourism destination and the choice of companions on a holiday was tested using chi square test.
