Sažetak
The article covers the analysis and comparison of the Rijeka port and Koper port as the two leading ports in the northern Adriatic. By comparing these two ports we get the impression of equal development, but further analysis show the advantages of the port of Koper. This article wishes to encouragefaster development of the port of Rijeka since the existing situation is not in favor of the port of Rijeka, traffic flows are being diverted to other ports of the northern Adriatic, where ships are handled applying contemporary technologies with multiple capacity.
