Sažetak
Karl R. Popper is one of the best known and most influential critics of Plato's social philosophy. Presenting in The Poverty of Historicism methodological foundations for it, Popper in The Open Society and Its Enemies produces a sharp critique of "historicist" philosophers, particularly Plato, as representatives of the concept of the "closed society". Contrary to his own anti-holistic methodological attitudes, Popper himself supports the holistic concept of the open society which corresponds with the modern liberal democratic society. In his critical analysis the author tries to evaluate the worth, limits and correctness of Popper's accusations against Plato's so-called immoralism, militarism, racism, anti-humanism and regressive historicism.
