Sažetak
In the career choice people search for environments that allows them to demonstrate their skills and abilities, and to express their attitudes and values. The same holds for faculty choice. The aim of this study was to examine relationship between career interest type and faculty congruence, degree of differentiation of interests, and student's study satisfaction. This study employed a sample of 180 university students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 30 from each of six different faculties representing six RIASEC environments. The results show that interest-faculty congruence does not play an important role in overall study satisfaction as expected. These results, although consistent with results of previous studies, were interpreted in light of some methodological issues. Differentiation of interests, so far seen as less important for prediction of outcome variables, has important impact on study satisfaction. Furthermore, group of students with higher degree of interest-faculty congruence show higher differentiation of interests.
