Sažetak
Six domestic winter wheat varieties (Sivka, Banica, Magdalen, Lipa, Marija, Dukat) and two spring wheat (Vidovica, Brđanka) were crossed with introduced spring wheat variety Remus as a female parent.
Heterosis of F1 hybrids comparison with the midparent value (MPV- heterosis), and the higher parent value (HPV- heterosis) were studied for: number of fertile spikelets in the main spike, kernel number in the spikelets, kernel number and weight of main spike, 1000 kernels weight, and harvest index.
MPV heterosis for all combinations crossings varied from 12,34% (1000 kernels weight) to -3,07% (kernel number in the spikelets) and HPV heterosis varied from 4,44% (kernel weight in the main spike) to -5.83% (kernel number in the spikelets).
The highest MPV heterosis was found for kernel weight of main spike (20.45%) and 1000 kernels weight (17.63%) in hybrid Remus x Dukat. The highest HPV heterosis was found for kernel weight of main spike (19.1%) in hybrid Remus x Dukat and 1000 kernels weight (18.37%) in hybrid Remus x Vidovica.
The most promising combinations according to MPV heterosis value were Remus x Lipa, Remus x Magdalen, Remus x Dukat and HPV heterosis value Remus x Magdalen, Remus x Banica.
