Sažetak
The authors present the case of the laparoscopic treatment of gastric bezoar. A patient presented to the hospital with symptoms of gastric obstruction with nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. She underwent radiography and endoscopy. Endoscopy revealed a large gastric bezoar, 8 centimeters in diameter localized in antrum with decubital ulceration of the mucosa. Gastroscopic extraction was unsuccessful. Therefor the patient underwent a linear laparoscopic gastronomy and the bezoar was remowed with the use of and endobag. Gastronomy was closed using intracorporeal suturing. There were no complication. The patient was discharged of the fifth postoperative day and returned to normal activities within eight days. We demonstrate the laparoscopic extraction of a phytobezoar as an alternative to laparotomy in patients whose disease is not amenable to gastroscopic resolution.
