Sažetak
This paper will present the analysis of several clothing items and styles that appear in continuity or discontinuity throughout the history of fashion. Certain historical forms and construction techniques that have been dismissed by the variable fashion were nurtured by the tradition, and their historical continuity was preserved. History has shown that fashion takes notice of these forms and construction techniques in various time periods and is inspired by them, adapts them to contemporary principles and brings them to life in a new way. On the other hand certain fashion forms of 20th century show their continuity to the degree of transferring into anti-fashion. On the base of the several examples of recent fashion continuity and discontinuity we will contemplate the reasons for abandoning a certain style but also it's revitalisation.
