Sažetak
This paper deals with the performance of UMTS/HSPA radio mobile networks in high buildings using passive distributed antenna system, which was initially designed and implemented for the GSM network. Field measurements were performed with drive/walk test equipment (network scanner, mobile terminal and handy), field measurement software, and a functional UMTS/HSPA network, using 10 codes per session. The impact of the use of passive distributed antenna system on the UMTS/HSPA network performance was studied inside the dominant, 150-meters-high and about 25-meters-wide twist tower of 38 floors, situated in the city of Sarajevo.
