Sažetak
This paper presents informations for understanding of the cooperatives and the associations in Croatia. Transition from central planed economy to market economy, necessery changes of the agricultural structure, liberalisation of the Croatian market, requested for efficiency business linking and organisation systems. Because of that, approach to new laws and legal regulations started. Like incentive and favourable legal surrounding for development of business linking and organisation in the agriculture, in the new socio-economic conditions, was bringing of a Law for cooperatives(1995.) and a Law for associations(1997.). The Law for cooperatives (1995.) nominaly regulated cooperatives in Croatia, which has enabled changes of the existing system of the cooperatives and establishment of the new one, according to European principles, rules and the experiences in the organisation and business. The Law for associations (1997.) enabled new way of association between agricultural producers, protection and promotion of a common ecologicaly, economic and other interests. Based on bad experience from the past, cooperatives still have unadequate position between farmers and foundation of the new cooperatives is weakly. It is obvious, that government measures for instigation of the cooperatives are insufficient, which also diminishing interest for that kind of business linking in the agriculture.Despite numerousness associations, institutional presentation of the agricultural producers interest in Croatia is not functional enough, especialy in the meaning of the active influence on agricultural policy measurements.
