Sažetak
In the introductory lecture to the IAEA Regional Training Course on Dating of Cultural Heritage Artefacts using Nuclear Analytical Techniques the following topics are discussed: What is cultural heritage? What is archaeometry? What is the role of dating in the archaeometry? Description of regional technical cooperation projects RER/1/006, RER/8/015 and RER/0/034 is given, as well se description of Croatian groups participating in the projects. Finally, the description of the current training course is given.
