Sažetak
For nesting materials, a large numbers of methods has been developed. Each of these methods considers certain criteria which occur during the optimisation process of material nesting. Criteria for selection of the methods include: shape of the object, cutting technology, efficiency of nesting plans, management of waste materials, etc. According to the given criteria, systematization of the most significant methods has been presented in the paper, as well as the benefits of selecting some of the methods. Due to complexity of mathematical apparatus used for optimization, the application of software solution is a very important element in the material nesting process.
