Sažetak
The paper tries to explain the complexity of the notion of femmes fatales. She is a different, unconventional type, which attracts men who are used to their traditional society from which she has escaped. In the three movies examined in this paper, it is shown how different the femme fatale figure can be in classical film noir. In The Maltese Falcon we still have the undeveloped figure. In the next movie, Double Indemnity, we have a femme fatale who can manipulate everyone, even the homme fatale. In the third movie, The Postman Always Rings Twice, the femme fatale is very similar. She is not as ruthless as the one from Double Indemnity, but she is still using men to do dirty deeds for her.
