Sažetak
While Coetzee has written three novels, In the Heart of the Country, Foe and Age of Iron, with the main female protagonists in the role of the narrator, this is not the case in Disgrace ; the third-person narrator in Disgrace is actually its male protagonist named David Lurie. The main goal of this paper will nevertheless be to determine the roles of female characters in this novel and to conduct a parallel analysis with the three aforementioned novels. The objective is to see, from a female point of view, the characters created by a male author, and to specifically analyze them using a feminist approach.
