Sažetak
Many of Hitchcock’s films may be described as cinematic landmarks, which set the bar for other directors in both technical and artistic terms. This great director took every film as a personal challenge, always trying to exceed the limitations of his craft and explore its possibilities. Hitchcock regularly explored theoretical issues in his films, experimenting with temporal and spatial restrictions (Lifeboat (1944), Rope (1948), Under Capricorn (1949), Rear Window (1954), specific narration forms (Stage Fright (1950) or studies of voyeurism and spectator identification (Rear Window (1954), Vertigo (1958). Even his less celebrated films contained an array of innovations that remained vital components of cinema until today.
