Sažetak
The paper focuses on the detective fiction of Agatha Christie, elaborating the most famous characters and detectives in her novels like Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple and Tommy and Tuppence Beresford. Throughout her long career, Christie will continue to invest in the legend of the great private detective, achieving greatest success with Poirot and Miss Marple. The last part of the paper focuses on the notion of death, the center of Christie' writings, and her novels Death in the Clouds, Sad Cypress, Evil Under the Sun and Death on the Nile.
