Sažetak
Gas phase acidities of benzylic and aromatic ring positions in benzocyclobutene will be presented and compared with results of the high level ab initio calculations. Special attention will be laid on the effect of the fused cyclobutene ring on the acidities of the aromatic ring protons. In addition, the effect of various alpha and beta substituents on the acidity of benzylic positions in benzocyclobutene will be discussed
