Sažetak
Recently, organic–inorganic hybrid materials (metal-organic frameworks (MOFs)) have attracted a lot of interest. These compounds have been applied in many fields, such as molecular recognition, adsorption and separation processes, catalysis, ion exchange and molecular magnetism. Several parameters such as the type of bridging ligands, metal ions, solvent, as well as temperature and pH value can influence on the synthesis of multidimensional infinite metal coordination polymers. The ability of azide ion to act as a good bridging ligand for binding of the metal centers, is the property that explains the large number of different one-, two- and three-dimensional infinite metal coordination polymers. In continuation of our research on synthesis and characterization of metal coordination polymers, we wish to report the synthesis and characterization of two new zinc(II) coordination polymers, [Zn(amp)(N3)2] (1) and [(µ-OH)2(µ-N3)(µ-OAC)Zn2(amp)]n (2) (amp = 2-aminopyrimidine) obtained from the reaction of 2-aminopyrimidine, sodium azide and ZnSO4 for 1 and Zn(OAc)2 for 2. The prepared complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. Their molecular structures were determined by X-ray crystal structure analysis. 1 is a 1D coordination polymer, while 2 is a 2D coordination polymer.
