Sažetak
The aim of this paper is twofold: to present evidence that different groups exist among the supportive faculty members and to test the validity of the scale developed by Todorovic et al. (2005, 2011). In the entrepreneurial university paradigm, research usually groups the faculty members into two opposed groups depending on their attitudes: supportive and unsupportive individuals. We argue, however, that different types of supportive faculty members exist. Our paper provides evidence on the existence of three different types of supportive faculty members with clear although intertwined profiles. We conducted a case study on a sample of Croatian universities. Using the already tested attitudinal scale ENTRE-U, we also prove its validity by replicating the previous research while largely extending its original application. The findings indicate that transition should not mean the imbalance of the three missions, but taking advantage of the strengths that each group provides while governing the portfolio of education, research, and transfer at the university, faculty and department levels.
