Sažetak
A microcomputer data reduction system based on Motorola's 6802 microprocessor is presented. This system was developed to be used on board satellites and balloons. After processing, only statistically relevant data have to be stored on board or transmitted to Earth. The performances were tested with real data from X-ray burst sources. The rate reduction depends on the structure of the processed data and may be a factor of ten or even more.
